Inspiration
For a ball, the table is set with the finest, freshly polished silverware, which Sølvkælderen has been able to supply for more than a century; everything from antique hand-forged spoons to newly made candlesticks. From existing items, goldsmith Charlotte Rathnov has created a hair ornament that can be worn either as a whole or divided into three parts: a hair comb, a chain with clasp, and a hair clip with crown spear. The clasp on the chain is made from part of a spoon from the cutlery pattern Dronning; the hair clip is partly made from the cutlery pattern Konge—both patterns from a major Danish silversmithing workshop. The name of the creation refers to the fact that silverware needs polishing from time to time, and to the fact that it may be somewhat curious to wear parts of silver cutlery in a festive hairstyle.
